Building an Aircraft by Pilots, for Pilots.
A Journey of Innovation, Passion, and Collaboration
My aviation journey and, consequently, the story of RA 100 Mercury began in 1996 when I married my
wife Kateřina. Her brother, father and even her grandfather were all pilots. Ever since I was
little, I had a passion for everything that had an engine and could move, so it didn't take long
until I got inspired to take up flying as well.

I've met many amazing people on my way to gain flight experience and qualifications, some of which would later become my friends. A couple of us – test pilots, flight instructors, experienced aviators and all kinds of flight enthusiasts – banded together to make our shared dream come true — to build our own airplane. An airplane with flight characteristics that we all sought after. An airplane that screams it was built by pilots.
We leveraged the new MTOW specifications to the fullest and designed our airplane to be exceptional
not only in its flight characteristics but also in its dimensions, wing-span and fuel capacity (and
hence its range), just to name a few.
As of now, we have the first couple of prototypes flying around in Czechia and we also began the
certification process. It's a long journey, but we believe the result will be worth it!
